Suction
Suction
Fabricate suction sockets with ease.
Suction suspension is achieved by using a valve built into the distal end of a prosthetic socket. The valve allows air to escape as a prosthesis is donned. An outer sleeve is worn over the top end of the socket to ‘seal’ it. As long as the seal is intact, the resulting suction will securely hold a prosthesis on an amputee’s residual limb.
